Launch of Raort “Gender-Based Violence in Kosovo: A Critical Review of Police Response”

On 26 November, ERAC launched the report “Gender-Based Violence in Kosovo: A Critical Review of the Police Response”. The report was produced by the JCPSJ, a partner organization in the Coalition “Equal Rights for All”.

The report summarizes an analysis of existing police laws, policies and practices in relation to gender-based violence in Kosovo and identifies reforms in the handling of cases of this nature, shortcomings and challenges as well as recommendations for further advancement of the police response to gender-based violence.

The opening remarks of the event were made by Luljeta Demolli, Executive Director of the JCPSJ, Arsim Shala, Head of the Domestic Violence Unit, Kosovo Police, Adelina Berisha, Advocacy Coordinator at the RRGK, moderated by Nita Zogiani, JCPSJ. The presentation of the report was made by Liridona Sijarina, KCSGJ.
