Involving Children as Active Citizens in Promoting Children's Rights and Gender Equality

The main goal of the project “Engaging children as active citizens in the promotion of children's rights and gender perspective” is to address children's rights from a gender perspective as well as to strengthen the capacities and expand the expertise of the organizations involved in the project so that they can take their supervisory and advocacy role in advancing children's rights in Kosovo. The results of the project are as follows: Increasing the quality in the work, activities and practices of the organizations involved in the project, openness to new actors, who are naturally not involved in a sector; Raising the capacity of organizations to work transnationally and cross-sectoral; Addressing needs and priorities common in the field of children's rights; Enabling transformation and change (at the individual, organizational or sectoral level), leading to improvements and new approaches, commensurate with the context of each Organize.

The objective of the seminars is to increase the capacities of children in the development of their awareness camps on the topics of children's rights and gender-based violence and domestic violence. After the workshops QGSC in collaboration with an expert will compile a report of recommendations that will further collect will guide us on the most urgent issues that children are interested in. It should be noted in the presentation of the participating workshops that different opinions are encouraged and the role of the facilitator is to lead the discussion and ensure that the result reflects reality in the best way. Discussing and evaluating each of the criteria enables the organization to identify gaps and make recommendations for building the required capacity. The project is funded by the Swedish Government with the support of Save the Children Kosovo.
