Women Activists in the Western Balkans and Turkey

On the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day, the EU Regional Programme “Implementing Norms, Changing Mindset”, which has a total of 48 NGO partners in the Western Balkans as well as in Turkey, has created an interactive map which shows some of the courageous women and activists working to combat and eliminate discrimination and violence in the region.

Dafina Prekazi from the Kosovar Centre for Gender Studies was part of this activity with the following message: “It is imperative that we join all forces towards understanding and changing the cultural and social norms that justify all kinds of discrimination and violence against women and girls”
