Kosovar Centre for Gender Studies (KCSGJ), in cooperation with the Office for Good Governance (ZQM), in order to implement Law No. 05/L-021 on Protection against Discrimination and Law No. 05/L-020 on Gender Equality, has compiled the Policy against sexual harassment in public administration in Kosovo, which was signed today by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Avdullah Hoti.

The policy against sexual harassment in the workplace in Kosovo contributes fundamentally to the protection of gender equality as a fundamental value of the democratic development of the society and the state of Kosovo, with the aim of prohibiting any form of action that leads to the appreciation of the personal dignity of everyone employed in the public administration. This Policy is presented as the necessity of implementing the directives of the European Union, which require our institutions to meet the criteria of this extremely important context during the process of European integration.

The aim of the Policy against Sexual Harassment in Public Administration in Kosovo is to serve as a strategic orientation and a concrete instrument in building a working environment where all forms of sexual harassment are prevented and sanctioned.

The Kosovar Centre for Gender Studies highly appreciates the cooperation and contribution of the Office for Good Governance and the Office of the Prime Minister, as well as pledges the implementation of this Policy.

The policy against sexual harassment in the workplace in Kosovo, approved today by Prime Minister Hoti, is an initiative initiated by the Kosovo Center for Gender Studies, in cooperation with the Office for Good Governance, since 2008, with financial support from USAID and E4E-ATRC.
