Gendering the Western Balkans’ EU Accession Processes is a five-year programme, funded by The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida, and implemented by the Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation in cooperation with local women’s civil society organisations in the Western Balkans. It includes Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. The overall objective of the programme is to strengthen women’s rights and women’s equal participation in decision-making in the Western Balkans, with the specific objective of gendering EU accession. Strengthening civil society - through women’s organisations - runs as an undercurrent of the programme.
