Launching of the research report “Gender Based Violence in Kosovo: Critical Review on Police Response"



On 26th of November, ERAC launched the research report “Gender Based Violence in Kosovo: Critical Review on Police Response". The research was conducted by KGSC, partner organization in the Equal Rights for All Coalition.

The report analyses applicable laws, policies and practices of police response to the gender based violence in Kosovo, acknowledges reforms that have been made in dealing with such cases, identifies gaps and challenges and includes recommendations in order to advance further the policy response to gender based violence.

Opening remarks were made by Luljeta Demolli, Executive Director of KGSC, Arsim Shala, Chief of Domestic Violence Unit, Kosovo Police, Adelina Berisha Advocacy Coordinator, under the moderation of Nita Zogiani, KGSC. Presentation of the findings was made by Liridona Sijarina, KGSC.
